What is my risk of breast cancer coming back?
Even after surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and hormone therapy, there's still a risk of recurrence. That means your breast cancer can come back. If it does, it can come back as metastatic breast cancer, meaning it has spread to other parts of the body. It's important to understand your risk of recurrence and that there are treatments that can help lower your risk.
Hormone therapy alone may not be enough to keep cancer from coming back
Yes, hormone therapy can lower your risk, but you're still at risk. People who have taken hormone therapy alone are still at risk of their HR+, HER2- early breast cancer coming back after starting hormone therapy treatment.
*The risk of cancer coming back is based on results from clinical trials of people with hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) eBC who took hormone therapy. The 3-year and 20-year risk of recurrence rates are derived from distinct data sets gathered from unique patient populations. KISQALI is approved for people with HR+, HER2- stage 2 and 3 early breast cancer in patients with node-positive and high-risk node-negative disease.

1. Stage (describes how much cancer is in your body)
2. Tumor size
3. Grade (describes how different the cancer cells look compared to normal breast cells)
4. Nodal status (describes the number of lymph nodes with cancer)
5. Additional test results (tests may include Oncotype DX®, MammaPrint®, Prosigna®, and EndoPredict®)
